People Are Still Using IE6

The news item reported here reports that Microsoft have celebrated <= 1% US IE user's are now using IE6.

My gosh, I would have thought that IE6 was long dead. The most surprising thing about the news article is the mention that is >25% of IE users in China are using IE6, South Korea >6% and Japan >5%.

It seems that in the asian countries, people are more conservative about technological change. Surprising considering the amount of technical innovation taking place in that part of the world.

  1. Afternoon, when I did my tax, they fined me because I sent the spread sheets in their own software, e-record, which they had ommitted to tell me that they no longer used. So I sent them as open office, I was fined. I sent them in Excell 10. I was fined, they only had Excell 9 and they said that it was no disclosure! DOH! go figure, so it does not surprise me that they are using old software, they are probably being audited as well! Byeee

  3. Well supposedly Doug commented too but it isn't here. Blogger/Google are getting a crappy lately. I DON'T LIKE their new interface at all, and refuse to use it because it is so faulty.
